Treasurer’s report
David Sargent reported the Association's income had more than covered its costs in 2025. The surplus will be put into our reserves towards a new Nationals track which will be needed at some point in the future. The surplus also gave scope for reducing entry fees for some 2026 events.
It was agreed that membership fees would be the same as 2025 -
He thanked our sponsors -
Our main expenditure is the National centre and track. The rent is the largest single item. Some further expenditure on track maintenance is planned, .
Overall the pre-
Racing Rules
The body approval process is working well. Dimensional limits for the rear wings in the 1/32 saloon class are being finalised. Existing approved shells will continue to be eligible.
1/32 Audi R10 bodyshells are due to become ineligible from the start of 2026 because of the 15 year rule. The possibility of an exception was discussed. It was decided that an exception could not be justified and all makes of R10 bodyshell would be ineligible for 2026.
Changing the penalties for lateness at scrutineering from a number of laps to a number of places has been proposed by a member. After careful consideration, it was decided to retain the fixed number of laps penalty.
Some questions have been raised about safety. The meeting considered the potential risks and agreed to further investigation of safety precautions after the meeting.
1/32 British Open Championship – The participants voted against continuing with the 2025 rule which allows home members to race at 1/32 BOC meetings. The majority voted to return to the 2024 rules where home members and those who have run on the track in the 2 months prior to the meeting are not eligible to race .
BSCRA Handbook. The 2026 Handbook was in the final stages of approval at the meeting and the final version was published online after the meeting . The Handbook includes the rules for the brushless INTRO 32 class.
